BREAST CANCER SCREENING AWARENESS AMONG TRAINEE DOCTORS OF MULTAN

This Cross-sectional study was designed to determine the level of awareness breast cancer screening and early detection techniques among trainee doctors Multan. research conducted at tertiary care hospital in Multan; from January 2019 June 2019. The questionnaire included ten questions, yielding a total score 22 House officers/interns (HOs) post-graduate trainees (PGRs) were study. Frequencies for categorical variables, median (inter-quartile range) or mean continuous Mann Whitney U-test as test significant (p<0.05) used SPSS analysis.328 participants included. age 25.5±2.5 years. Most (95.7%, n-314) aware cancer, nearly two-thirds (69.8%, n-229) its protocols. Even though 91.2% (n-299) self-examination, only (46%, n-151) knew how perform it, third (n-93, 28%) recommended fifth (n-63, 19%) mammography female patients regularly. Significantly higher scores reported females compared males (19 (3) vs. 18 (3), p-0.03), PGRs HOs (2.6) (2), p-0.02), surgical (2) p-0.04).based on results it can be concluded that regarding adequate.
